CineMarch Media Launches CultFroggy: New Podcast Series Examining High-Control Groups and Cult Dynamics

Revolutionary media company expands content offerings while maintaining commitment to marching arts advocacy

January 1, 2026 — CineMarch Media, LLC announces the launch of CultFroggy, a new podcast series dedicated to analyzing high-control groups, cult dynamics, and systems of manipulation. The show arrives February 2026 as part of a strategic expansion of the company's content portfolio.

The Marching Revolution continues. CineMarch Media's investigative coverage of labor issues, abusive power structures, and consumer exploitation in the drum corps and marching band industry remains a core pillar of the company's mission. CultFroggy complements — not replaces — this ongoing work by providing deeper analysis of the psychological mechanisms that enable institutional abuse.

CultFroggy will explore the psychology of control, from recognized cults to everyday institutional manipulation. Drawing on Robert Jay Lifton's criteria for thought reform and contemporary research on coercive systems, the podcast aims to help audiences recognize and understand the tactics used by high-control environments — including those hidden in plain sight within mainstream organizations like drum corps.

"We're not just talking about compounds in the desert," said Edward Frederick, founder of CineMarch Media. "We're examining how manipulation shows up in workplaces, social movements, educational systems, and competitive arts organizations. Understanding these patterns is essential to building resilience against exploitation."

The podcast will feature:

  • Deep dives into specific high-control groups and their tactics

  • Analysis of thought reform techniques in institutional settings

  • Interviews with former members, researchers, and recovery specialists

  • Practical tools for recognizing susceptibility to manipulation

  • Direct application of cult dynamics research to the marching arts industry

CultFroggy joins CineMarch Media's existing podcast Marxists at the Movies, which analyzes film through a class-conscious lens. The Marching Revolution — the company's investigative journalism project covering toxic power structures in drum corps and marching band organizations — continues with expanded resources and sharper analytical tools drawn from cult research.

"This expansion reflects our commitment to cultural criticism that serves people, not institutions," Frederick said. "Whether we're analyzing a Hollywood blockbuster, a manipulative organization, or the predatory practices of marching arts gatekeepers, the goal is the same: expose the systems, empower the people, and hold power accountable."

CultFroggy launches February 2026. Episodes will be available on all major podcast platforms.
